Free, Easy Ticket Exchange! Studio Theatre subscribers can exchange their tickets up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled performance. You may choose from one of our two exchange methods:

   E-Xchange (tickets held): you can exchange online or by telephone up to 24 hours before your  scheduled performance. We send you a letter with all your ticket information and keep your tickets at the Box Office.

Mailed Tickets: Patrons who prefer to receive paper tickets can exchange in-person, by mail, or by fax up to 24 hours before their scheduled performance.

Personalized Performance Reminder Service! Only subscribers receive complimentary reminders via email or phone 48-hours prior to their performance date.  Never miss a performance or forget to exchange dates again!

FAQs

Q. What should I do if I'm going to miss my scheduled performance?
A. Subscribers have the benefit of exchanging tickets FREE of charge and reserving new seats up to 24 hours before their regularly scheduled show.* Exchanges can be done by fax, mail or in-person at the Box Office.
  E-Xchange (Box Office is holding my tickets):
Fill out the form located here. What is E-Xchange? With E-Xchange, our virtual ticketing program, you will receive confirmation of your performance date and seat locations in the mail, just like a regular subscription. But, we will keep your tickets here at the theatre. No more annoying faxing or mailing back tickets to exchange. You just pick your tickets up prior to each performance at WILL CALL. To sign up for E-Xchange, please call 202-332-3300.
  Hard Tickets (I have my tickets):
Fax: Fill out the Exchange Form provided with your subscription packet or download one now. () Please don't forget to include your Patron ID number. Fax the exchange form and the copy of the torn tickets to the Box Office at 202-332-1187.
  Mail: (NOTE: This is not a good option if your show is only 1 week away.) Fill out the Exchange Form provided with your subscription packet or download one now. () Please include your Patron ID number (found at the top left of your tickets). Mail the form and your tickets to the Box Office in a return envelope (also included in your subscription packet). The new tickets will be held for you at the Box Office unless you enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive your new tickets in the mail.
  In person: Bring your tickets to the Box Office for an exchange, except within one hour of  performance time. Please note Box Office exchange hours.
  * Exchanges are subject to availability. The Studio Theatre cannot guarantee that the same seats will be available on another night. Exchanges to a more expensive night or section will require an upgrade fee. Please note that Orchestra seats may be substituted for Center seats and padded removable chairs may be substituted for fixed seats.
Q. Where is my Patron ID number located on my ticket?
A. Your Patron ID number is located in the top left hand corner of the ticket stub. It is a 6-digit number.

Q. During what times can I exchange my tickets at the Box Office?
A. Subscribers can exchange tickets in-person at the Box Office, except within one hour of a performance time.

The Box Office hours during performance weeks are as follows:

   Monday and Tuesday, 10:00am - 6:00pm
   Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm
   Saturday, 10:00am - 1:00pm and 3:00pm - 7:00pm
   Sunday, 12:00pm - 1:00pm and 3:00pm - 6:00pm

The Box Office hours during non-performance weeks are as follows:
   Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm

Q. Are there any days for which we can't exchange tickets?
A. The Studio Theatre does not have performances on Mondays and has performances only on a limited number of Tuesdays. The first Sunday Matinee and Evening of each show is reserved for the Press Opening and Opening Night. The first Saturday Matinee of each show is reserved for a special Pay-What-You-Can performance.


Q. What if I've already exchanged my tickets and need to exchange again?
A. You should call the Box Office directly at 202-332-3300. Inform them that you have already exchanged your tickets, which should be on hold at the Box Office and you need to exchange them again for a different performance date. The Box Office will be able to make this exchange over the phone.

Q. What if I missed my show and forgot to exchange my tickets?
A. If you've missed the 24-hour notice deadline to exchange your tickets, you may still be able to see the show! You can see the play on a seating-available basis. Please call the Box Office on the day of your scheduled show to let us know you won't be attending.
On the day of the performance that you wish to attend in lieu of your original date, call the Box Office to check seating availability. Please understand that we are not able to reassign you seats at this time, but we can give you an estimate of availability at curtain time.
Bring your original tickets to the Box Office at least a half-hour before curtain time. You will be issued a seating pass. Once all the ticketed patrons are seated, you will be seated in any remaining empty seats on a space-available basis.

Q. What if I lost my tickets?
A. If you lose your subscription tickets, please call 202-332-3300 and ask to have them reprinted.
