Driven by the profound dedication to nurture talent, Joy Zinoman, the Founding Artistic Director of The Studio Theatre, created the core acting curriculum. Her continued commitment to high value and to the pursuit of excellence was most recently recognized with the 2009 Mayor’s Award for Visionary Leadership in the Arts.

Joy Zinoman has trained the core acting teachers of The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory.  In recognition of achievement, the US Commerce Association has selected The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory for a 2009 Best of Washington Award.

Comprising of a three-year integrated sequential study of acting, the core acting courses are offered three semesters a year, beginning in September, February and June. Students can begin their study during any of the three semesters.
